Victorian Government pledges $45.5m plan to fight amphetamine use.

In recognition of the growing problem of ice and amphetamine use, particularly in regional areas, the Victorian Government is promising $45.5m to fight amphetamine trafficking and addiction. The money will include: $4.7 million to help support ice users and their families, including a new ice helpline; $18 million to expand rehabilitation services, with a focus on regional areas; $1.8 million to expand needle and syringe programs; $4.5 million to expand Victoria police forensic teams to crack down on clandestine drug labs; and
$15 million for new drug and booze buses. ABC News.
